NOTE:

We here at Tag Hockey take pride in developing future generations of hockey players. With the recent events of COVID-19, our staff have been preparing to continue to develop players with the new rules that have been applied. Below is a list of requirements that we are following to maintain the health of our staff and athletes.

  • Hand Sanitizer is required to be applied before, during, and after the workout
  • Cleaning the equipment before and after use will be applied
  • Athletes MUST bring their own water bottles… NO SHARING!
  • Practising social distancing for on-ice and off-ice
  • Players/parents are required to exit the facility within 15 minutes after the ice session

TAG Hockey – We will be running a brand new program for the month of September. The program will consist of two hours a week of dryland, two hours a week of in gym training, and one hour a week of on-ice development for a total of 8 hours of dryland, 8 hours of in gym training, and 4 hours of on-ice development throughout the program. We are very excited to bring this elite program to our athletes! Players will get the opportunity to get into shape, learn and develop proper form in the gym, and improve on skating, puck skills, and shooting! The program will begin Monday, August 31st and finish Sunday, September 27th.

* All sessions at London Sports Park

* Limited space available. Maximum 16 spots are available for the programs. Smaller group sessions for an attainable coach to player relationship opportunities.

AGE GROUPS: 2009-2008 & 2007,2006

Age groups will be split up for dryland and gym training into two groups. Group 1 will be 2009-2008 and Group 2 will be 2007-2006. Players will be together for the on-ice portion.

GROUP A (2008-2009)

Dryland Sessions: Mondays 6:00 pm-7:00 pm, Wednesdays 6:00 pm-7:00 pm

Gym Sessions: Tuesdays 6:00 pm-7:00 pm, Thursdays 6:00 pm-7:00 pm

Ice Sessions: Sundays 12:15 pm- 1:15 pm

GROUP B (2007-2006)

Dryland Sessions: Tuesdays 6:00 pm-7:00 pm, Thursdays 6:00 pm-7:00 pm

Gym Sessions: Mondays 6:00 pm-7:00 pm, Wednesdays 6:00 pm-7:00 pm

Ice Sessions: Sundays 12:15 pm- 1:15 pm

Program Criteria

Dryland: 

  • Speed & Agility
  • Plyometrics
  • Balance & Core Strength

Gym:

  • Learning the fundamentals and proper form when using weights
  • Dumbell exercises
  • Assault Bike

Ice:

  • Power Skating
  • Puck Skills
  • Game-like Scenarios

All sessions are being instructed by TAG instructors Josh Castle and Blake McConnell-Barker. Josh and Blake have played Junior B hockey for two years, learned and developed through TAG, and know what it takes to get to the next level. We are committed to making this an enjoyable experience for your son/daughter and are looking forward to getting to know them. This is an excellent opportunity to get ready for the upcoming hockey season.
